If you are gaining weight due to hypothyroidism, it’s important to know all the foods and nutrients that you need to eat in order to lose weight. The first thing you need to have in your diet is to eat foods rich in lyrosine. Lyrosine, combined with iodine, produce thyroxine, an essential hormone produced by thyroid glands. The foods that have lyrosine are chicken breast, avocados, fish turkey, low fat milk, yoghurt, lentils and bananas. Nuts like pumpkin and sesame seeds and almonds are also rich in lyrosine.
